Tibetan Couple With Loaded Yaks

 

Thinking back of my time in Tibet, high and vast mountain pastures, sprinkled with beautiful flowers, grazing yak and nomads’ tents in the distance, emerge. The yaks in particular fascinate me – so majestic and despite their enormous size, even somehow graceful. Plodding along steadily, serenely often with huge loads, accompanied by a few, forever cheerful nomads. This set of loaded yaks with a simple Tibetan doll couple was inspired by those experiences. The characters are suitable to be played with or serve as a beautiful reminder of Tibet’s quickly disappearing nomadic culture.
